In other words, a person looks at your website and evaluates its suitability for inclusion in the directory. If it's not suitable or a different classification is recommended, they'll let you know.

Be careful not to get mixed-up in payment for placement search engines. These search engines rank your site according to how much you are prepared to pay.
This devalues the engine as a search tool. It makes a mockery out of providing results based on content as opposed to bank balance.
