Hot Chilli and Copyright

Under US, European and Australian copyright law, forms of authorship including literary, artistic and digital intellectual works are copyright.

This protection is automatic and it is an unregistered right. Consequently, it is illegal to make or distribute copies of copyrighted material without authorisation.

The only exception is your right to have a backup copy for archival purposes, and of course one copy of the software for personal use, unless granted additional licenses from the copyright owner.

International copyright law prohibits the following:

Duplicating software for use or profit
Installing a single package of software on more than one computer workstation without authorization from the copyright owner
Giving or selling an unauthorized copy to another company or individual
